MY REVIEW
Elena (Elsa) is a fierce, take no prisoners woman. She has her reasons for this, and she never expected the man who avoids and ignores her to ever be the one she lets past her defenses. Spending the summer indulging in feelings could end up being the one thing that breaks her, though, because Lachlan reverts back to his judgmental self once their crew comes back. Now she's on her own again, and determined to stay that way. Never again will she allow anyone to hurt her, make her feel, make her trust. Lachlan's got his work cut out for him if he wants to redeem himself and convince her he's not going anywhere but where she goes.
I haven't read the first two stories in this series, but I have heard Elena was unlikable before. Well, I can safely say that whatever she was before, she is no longer, because here she's awesome. She's strong, a survivor, and feisty and fierce. I absolutely loved her. Now Lachlan...oh boy but I wanted to smack him more than once. He let his judgmental side take over multiple times, and of course it hurt Elena. But she didn't exactly welcome him back with open arms, no, she stood strong and made him grovel at her feet the way he had to. I love how he groveled, though, and so did she, and the way they finally found their way to happiness.
