Review / Release Blitz: Dr. Off Limits by Louise Bay

Release Date: September 6

Dr. Off Limits? I have a fever and I think you might be the medicine I need.

I’ve sworn off men to focus on my dream job that starts on Monday. But my best friend talks me into a final night of fun—a blind date.

I only agree because the guy is going to work as a doctor in Africa.

It’s the best date of my life. Dr. Africa makes me laugh and swoon and I want to give him a thorough physical examination. He turns into Dr. One Night Stand, and I’m not sad about it.

Monday morning, I’m enthusiastic and excited, until I bump into . . . you guessed it.

Apparently Dr. Africa got his brother to fill in on our date, and now I work at the same hospital as the guy I got naked with on Saturday.

Did I mention he’s my new boss?

I need to go right to the Emergency Room and find a cure for my crush on Dr. Off Limits.

MY REVIEW

Sutton's new to London, and about to become a foundation doctor. But before, she goes on a blind date that ends with the hottest night she's ever experienced. But it has to stay at one night because her new position will leave absolutely no room for any kind of relationships outside of professionally. But what about a professional relationship that's...more? Because when one of her new bosses walks into the orientation, it turns out to be her very hot, now very off-limits night. Yep. Now Sutton will have to decide if the insane attraction between them is enough to make her possibly put her dreams at risk.

Jacob Cove has spent his entire life trying to live up to his parents' legacies. He's a perfectionist and completely focused on his job and the idea of climbing the hospital ladder. But then this beautiful, independent woman happens to him when his brother convinces him to go in his place on a blind date. Now he's working with Sutton, and he can't get her off his mind. Does he dare to step over that forbidden line?

Wow. This story is just...beautiful. Jacob and Sutton are such wonderful characters, each with their own dreams and focus, that they can't see a way forward for them being together. Thank God they each had some epiphanies and got on the same page, because I would have a broken heart if they hadn't ended up together. I love how sweet they are together, how kind and humble Jacob is, and how compassionate and strong Sutton is. Together they fit perfectly, and their love story is my new favorite in this series.

Her books include the novels Faithful (not currently on sale as undergoing maintenance!), Hopeful, The Empire State Series, The Nights Collection, The Royals Collection, and The Gentleman Collection (these are series of stand alone books each following different characters). Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
