MY REVIEW

Damien's the watcher among his group of friends/vigilantes/security specialists. He's got the same alpha and protective tendencies they all have, so when a beautiful, obviously scared woman stumbles her way into his life one night with a plea to play along with her, his heart instantly recognizes that she's the one he'll protect to the end. He'll have to use all his immense skills to protect her, though, because the man after her is skilled at disguise, has money and the technical skills to match Elite and Hidden Justice. Or does he? Because nothing can compare to a man in love protecting his mate, and that's exactly what Raven has become - his. With his crew along for the ride, nothing will stop them from protecting Raven so that she and Damien can finally find the happiness they both deserve.

Raven moved here to find a new start, but instead she got the horrible luck to meet someone who now will not leave her alone. She's more scared than she's ever been, but her luck turns when she convinces a guy to play along with her scheme one night, and Damien ends up being more than she could have ever hoped for. He not only goes along with her scheme to keep her stalker away for the night, he goes all in. Now she's in for the ride of her life, because Damien is more than the right guy to protect her, he's the one, the only one, the one who she soon comes to trust with her life, the one she gives her all to. They just have to make it out alive to the other side of the happiness she can see in the future.

Damien's story is absolutely my favorite of this fabulous series. He's the kind of alpha I love best - strong, commanding and protective without being an asshole. He's got a very tender heart, but one he only reserves for the people he cares about, and Raven was the best person to give that heart to. She's equally strong and has an equally big heart. Their chemistry is fire, the action and suspense blended seamlessly with the developing relationship, and the crew was present, all making for my favorite so far of all the men of Hidden Justice. Can't wait for more!

New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of thirty-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She's learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
