MY REVIEW

Rylee's finally coming home. Unfortunately, the circumstances surrounding her homecoming aren't the pleasant ones they should be - her beloved brother has passed and left his half ownership of his bar to her. Who's the other owner? That would be Rhodes, a grumpy hottie who she soon finds out is dealing with as much grief for her brother as she is. Can their shared grief be a bond they can use to make working together a more pleasant experience than their first meeting hints at? Or will their attraction be too much for them to deal with as they navigate being coworkers, single parents, and grieving all at the same time?


Rhodes has just been existing since his best friend and business partner passed. Now Trevor's sister has come home to live up to the promise she made to Trevor, to keep their bar open. Rhodes isn't sure he can work with this beautiful woman whose sadness mirrors his own. She's a light in his grey world, though, and soon he's determined to claim the woman who drives him mad. Will Rylee let him and his daughter into her and her son's lives?

Grumpy, bossy, possessive Rhodes. Sassy, sweet Rylee. And the two most precocious, adorable kids. Rylee, Rhodes, Gage and Payton formed the most beautiful family. I adore their story even though I may have shed a few tears as Rylee and Rhodes found healing and love with each other, and never forgot to honor the person they both still missed. The chemistry is smokin' hot (hello whiskey bottle!!) but it's their intense emotional connection, both the one they have because of their shared grief, and the one they have because their hearts fell for each other, that made the most impact on me. I love this story, and won't be soon forgetting Rhodes and his Firefly.

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel.
