Review / Release Blitz: Better to See You (Arrow Tactical Security #1) by Isabel Jolie

Better to See You by Isabel Jolie is now live!

"There are various kinds of wolves...those who are charming, quiet, polite, unassuming, complacent, and sweet, who pursue young women at home and in the streets. And unfortunately, It is these gentle wolves that are the most dangerous wolves of all."
—Charles Perrault, Little Red Riding Hood

When a billionaire's daughter goes missing, it's all hands on deck.
Missing kids isn't one of Ryan Wolfgang's usual cases. "Wolf" is the head of Arrow Tactical Security, a black ops firm that takes on dangerous missions. His life is fast-paced and that's the way he likes it.

But is she a runaway or a kidnapping victim?
Alexandria Rolfe has grown up in the shadow of her father - the world-renowned forensic
scientist and psychologist, Dr. Richard Rolfe. She's determined to build her own reputation now that she's graduated with her Ph.D., so when she gets the call about the missing teenager, she jumps at the chance to prove herself.

Will they find her alive?
Ryan wants to bring the girl home to help an old classmate and to maintain his perfect recovery record. Alexandria wants to bring the girl who refers to her as Aunt Alex home, but she can't deny the career boost from the contacts alone.

When they decide to team up, they both hope for a rescue, but they might just get more than they were looking for...

Better to See You, the first book in the Arrow Tactical Security series, is a steamy, suspenseful, contemporary standalone romance. Recommended for readers 18 and over.

MY REVIEW

Alex has been brought in to help her friend find his missing daughter. Jack has also asked for help from his own old friend, Ryan, owner of Arrow Tactical Security, former Navy SEAL. Alex can tell Ryan thinks she's going to be useless in this case, but she's smart, she's on her way to becoming a profiler, and more importantly, she knows Sophia, and that's going to make the real difference in this case. She had no way of knowing she and Ryan would be teaming up in other ways, ways that would certainly change her life.

Ryan's not really a relationship kind of guy. He's fairly closed off and stoic, but there's something about this woman that's getting to him. At first glance, she seemed a bit useless, but he soon finds out she's more than useful, she's damn smart and helping more than she probably realizes. She's also bringing out feelings he didn't expect and isn't sure he wants. But he can't seem to help himself. Once this case is solved, he'll need to make a decision about the beautiful doctor.

Ryan has made appearances in Isabel's previous series, Twisted Vines, and he's been intriguing in each appearance. I'm so glad I got to read his story because it's suspenseful and fast-paced and Ryan and Alex are a great couple with intense chemistry. Though Ryan was freaking cold af in the beginning, he ended up falling hard, and they really are perfect for each other, complementing each other's strengths and weaknesses. I'm really excited for more of this new series now.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
