Chevelle has crushed on her brother's best friend, Cameron "Cam" Baker, since she was 5 and he comforted her at her mother's wake. They've never crossed over that forbidden line, but she's always wanted to. Now, though, the charming flirt has decided to open a competing business and she's decided her crush won't stand in the way of her taking him on, and winning!

Cam has always been drawn to Chevelle, but being her brother's best friend has always meant she was off limits. But now that they've decided to engage in a little competition, thanks to his father cutting him off, he's not sure how much longer he can control himself around her. Will this pair discover just how deep their feelings for each other are, and how long they've been there?

I've been waiting for Chevelle and Cam's story, and now that I've read it, I'm glad the authors saved the best for last. Chevelle oh Chevelle, this woman had held so much pain inside for so long, but she finally managed to let go of some of it, finally learned she could still accept help from the people who loved her without compromising her fierce independence. And Cam, he was definitely more than he had appeared in previous appearances. Though definitely a charmer, he isn't the shallow playboy he seems, he's loving and sweet, with more than strong feelings for his best friend's sister, the same girl who charmed him and grew into a beautiful woman. I'm going to miss the Greenes, but Cam and Chevelle's emotional and heartfelt story is definitely the best way for the series to end.
