When Nora and Walker's flights are delayed, it leads to a night neither of them will ever forget. It was just supposed to be one night, but they can't get enough of each other and are soon setting off to Walker's family ranch for the holidays. Will Nora relax her life plan enough to let Walker into her heart entirely this Christmas? Or is she too set on the path her parents want for her?
Walker's finally leaving his flashy racer life, and going home to his ranch. He figures he'll settle there, work the land, and life will be different than the pressure filled one he's leaving behind. Then he meets a smart, beautiful doctor at the airport, and suddenly he wants it all with her. But in order for this former racer to zoom past her defenses, he'll need to get her to see that her parents' plan for her doesn't have to be her own. Will she be his present this Christmas?
This is a fun holiday story. I really liked Walker and his family. They're like the kind of Hallmark family you see on TV but with more of a contemporary edge. Walker is a sweetheart and so swoony. I have to admit that Nora drove me nuts though. She was so repressed and rigidly adherent thanks to her ridiculous parents, that she refused to see outside her own narrow view. Aside from this little thing, though, I enjoyed reading as Walker and Nora fell in love despite their very different upbringings and personalities.
