Holly's been left at the altar and has lost her job, all on the same day. So she's heading back to her hometown, to stay in a cabin to get herself back together. When her high school love shows up to fix something at the cabin, and gets stuck with her during a white out storm, she finds that love has never left either of their hearts.
Lucas never told Holly back in high school that he wanted to follow her wherever she wanted to go after graduation. But now that she's back, he's not letting her go. Will she end up being the partner he needs and wants? Or are their lives too different, too far apart in more ways than one?
This is a sweet second chance holiday romance with a heavy insta-love feel. Because this story was so short, it felt rushed and a tad incomplete. I think if we had gotten more of their past relationship, and definitely more of them in the present, I would have believed in them as a couple more. But as it stands, it's still entertaining and good for a bit of escapist holiday reading.
