MY REVIEW


Shayna knows her new job as a sports therapist with the San Francisco Kingsmen is going to come with challenges. Number one being the man who devastated her heart in college, Lee Burrows, the Kingsmen's star quarterback. But, she can pretend she doesn't know him. Pretend she doesn't despise him. Pretend he doesn't still make her heart race and her insides flutter. If she wants to keep her dream job, she will pretend and put Lee in the past where he needs to stay, for the sake of her heart.


Lee doesn't have a lot of regrets. His life is the stuff dreams are made of. He's the league's star quarterback. He's rich. He has women in droves. But, hurting Shayna back in college, even unintentionally, still gives him a pain in his soul. He's never gotten over her and now that she's back in his orbit, he's going to explain himself and get her to forgive him. If only she'd even look at him as more than just a client. If only she'd look at him the way she used to back before he broke her heart. But, he's never backed down from a challenge, and her frostiness toward him isn't going to be the thing that he can't get past. Nope. He's coming for Shayna and she'll let him back into her heart.


Second chance love and football?! You know I'm so there and damn it's good to be reading a new Piper Rayne sports romance. This series is going to be epic if Lee and Shayna's story is any indication. Lee's an absolute sweetheart, oblivious a bit of course because he is a man after all, and Shayna is amazing - strong, principled, and with an equally big heart. Their enemies to lovers vibe is sizzling with tension, and when they finally came back together, my Kindle was practically on fire. I cannot wait for more of these San Francisco football men, I have a feeling Brady's story, You Can't Kiss the Nanny, Brady Banks is going to be just as awesome as Shayna and Lee!
