Lucia's brother may be gone, but she has a pseudo brother in Noah, and he's probably even worse than Rafe. He's overprotective, broody, and drives her nuts. So she has a tiny little crush on him, it doesn't mean anything considering Noah has only ever seen her as an obligation, the duty he owes her brother. Until it changes and she realizes her little crush isn't unrequited.

Noah's been watching over Lucia for so long that he has a hard time remembering life before her. Before her brother. But that brother, his brother, is gone, and all he has is his duty to protect Lucia, from danger, from dates, from potential dates, and most of all, from himself. Because he's been having a hard time reigning in his decidedly unbrotherly feelings for her. But he can never give into them, he's far and away not good enough to deserve an innocent like her. Someone untouched by all that he's seen and done. And now that past just may be coming for Lucia, and he's not about to let anything harm her, even if he has to step in front of the danger himself.

I read this series back when it was released as the Shameless series, and loved it. Now that it's been revised and put into one continuous story, it's even better. The chemistry and the connection between Noah and Lucia is sizzling hot, and only gets stronger as the story continues. There's a lot of action and suspense, and twists and turns. There's a whole crew of guys of Noah that I know got stories before, and will hopefully be getting their own revised stories. I can't wait to read them now!
