Sophie's in a new place with a new identity, just trying to figure out why her husband sent her here. She knows Theo had gotten into something that put her and their daughter at risk, she just doesn't know why he sent her here, nor does she know what's out there putting them in danger. And then she sees the man who apparently doesn't recognize her, but she definitely recognizes him. What will Holden do when he realizes just who she and her daughter are to him?

Holden may have some blank spots in his memory from his time in Vegas, but when he sees Sophie again with her daughter whose eyes are very familiar, he instantly knows they're his. And he means to protect them, and keep them with him. Sophie has a protective crew already, and his crew is already in it with him. Now they just have to get through this, figure out what Theo had done, and make sure the threat goes away, so he, Sophie, and Eden can live the lives they deserve.

Wow, what a way to end this excellent series. I fell in love hard with Spencer and Brie as he loved her through her memory loss. Then I hurt for Blakely and Emmett as they dealt their troubled marriage of convenience. But Holden and Sophie are by far my favorite couple and have my favorite story. There is a lot going on here, trying to figure out what exactly Theo had done and who was out there coming for them. And the whole way through I could just feel their connection that only got stronger with every page. I'm going to miss the Rose Canyon family but am so glad Corinne saved the best for last.
