MY REVIEW
Jas & Jax had a connection as children that both thought would last them their lifetimes. But when he was adopted and taken away by his new parents, she never heard from him again. Oh sure, she watched him rise to rock fame, but she never communicated with him again. Until now. Until he appears at the hotel where she works, looking like the rock god he is, and acting like one too. An arrogant, entitled jerk. And she's having none of it, none of him. Especially when it's clear he doesn't recognize her. No need to tell him when she now knows he's not the sweet boy she used to know.
Jax has never forgotten his soulmate Jas. But he's moved past her, or thought he had. Then a beautiful woman puts him in his place and there are shades of his Jas in Skylar. Has he found the only woman to make him feel since leaving this town all those years ago?
I mostly enjoyed this rockstar romance. I love the idea of soulmates, which is what Jas & Jax are. I have to admit though, that I didn't like Jax at first, he came across as so arrogant that it was off putting. But he grew on me as the pages flipped and his inner vulnerability shone through. Jas's secret being kept hidden for so long also drove me nuts, and it dragged on for too long, but I could sort of understand why she didn't want to reveal it. Aside from these two things, I ended up mostly enjoying them though as I said, and would be interested in reading more in this series.
