MY REVIEW

Hawk's asshole lifestyle has finally caught up to him and it's landed him with a child he has no idea how to care for. Now he just has to keep a nanny. Hard to do when his awful personality keeps driving them away. But then Addison, who also can't stand him, gets stuck in an elevator with him, and somehow agrees to become his newest nanny. She loves kids, needs a job, so this is perfect. Unfortunately, her new charge's father is the biggest dick she's ever met. She loves her job, but doesn't love her boss. But Hawk's more than he appears, and his surly personality is masking someone no one else gets to see. Soon she's falling for Hawk as much as she is his adorable daughter. There's potential for something beautiful if only Hawk weren't keeping a secret that will surely sever any development they were making.

Addy is a fighter, a survivor. Since the accident that took part of her leg, she's not let it get her down and out. No, she's got a backbone of steel, a heart of gold, and was definitely the best part of this story. I really wasn't sure how Hawk was ever going to redeem himself or even come close to being a good partner for her ray of sunshine, but being around Addy was the best possible thing for him and his daughter. He finally grew into the man she could see deep inside, and I was able to see just why she loved him. The banter is great, the chemistry is intense, and this grumpy/sunshine couple's story is an excellent start to a new series.
