MY REVIEW
Sophie and Levi have been co-parenting like champs for years now. But beneath that seemingly all smiles façade are layers of pain that neither has ever exposed to the world, or even to each other. Now the band aid's about to be ripped off because she's set to tour with Levi and their daughter. Close confines will surely put these two to the test. Will their friendly relationship hold up? Or will the love that has always been there come to light and a second chance be in the horizon for this couple?
Levi was devastated when his marriage fell apart, but now that he's on tour with his ex and his little girl, he's reminded (not like he ever forgot) just why he had fallen so hard for Sophie. But if he wants a second chance at love with the only woman for him, he'll need to dig deep after all their scars are brought to the surface.
I think this just may be my favorite of all Carrie's stories. It's the kind of second chance story I love best, where the couple not only wants and fights for their second chance, but they definitely deserve it. The way Sophie's struggle is handled is with an emotional hand but not overwhelmingly so, with heart and care. There's plenty of heat, and an adorable little girl. Honestly, there aren't many ways I can think of that this story could have been better.
