He was her mortal enemy.
And…he’d decided she was his.
She loved being a doctor.
She didn’t love Connor Jackson.
Picking. Poking. Prodding. The man had never met a button he didn’t like to push. And since Raven had never met a fight that she didn’t see through to the end, when she and Connor were together…
Fireworks.
Then she got hurt—really hurt—and Connor decided that she needed looking after.
And that was when she discovered that maybe what she felt for Connor wasn’t hate at all.

MY REVIEW
Staying with Connor while recuperating from a fire that burned down her place is trying all of Raven's nerves, and really making her realize just how much she doesn't deserve love, especially from a great guy like him. So she bails without a word. Perhaps this time, Connor's patience and big heart will finally see that she's not the one for him.
Connor realizes when Raven ghosts him that it might finally be time to give up on the idea of anything with her. After all, she's treated him so badly as long as he's known her, so perhaps it's time he gets the point, she doesn't want him the way he wants her. But upon seeing her again, he sees something different about her. Does he stand a chance this time? Or is her brokenness too much for him to overcome?
Connor has the patience and the heart of a saint! I honestly do not know how he put up with Raven. She is...A LOT. Yes, she has good reason for her walls, but her treatment of him is downright malicious. I wouldn't have put up with her shit, but that he did means he's probably one of the sweetest, swooniest bbfs I've ever read. I ended up liking their story - it's emotionally complex and substantial and I love reading as Raven finally allowed herself to be vulnerable to Connor. I may have ended with still thinking Connor deserved better, but I can see what he saw in Raven and love that they got their happiness.
