Review / Release Blitz: Landlord Wars (All's Fair #1) by Jules Barnard

Landlord Wars by Jules Barnard is now live!

I found the perfect rental in the overpriced city I can't quit. My only problem? The arrogant landlord is my new roommate's best friend.

Max Burrows comes from one of the wealthiest families in San Francisco. He's tall, built, with chiseled good looks some women might find attractive. He also enjoys annoying me with his brutal honesty.

Yes, I know my clothes are too baggy.

Yes, I realize my hair is a rat's nest in the morning.

And yes, I tend to leave mugs all over the house. His point?

Under the guise of spending time with his friend, Max has been known to share embarrassing personal facts to potential suitors and eat my chocolate.

The chocolate is the last straw.

Max is not my roommate, and I shouldn't have to put up with his presence.

But he does own the building...

It's a sticky situation.

I might kill Max, or I might kiss that mocking smile off his face.

All's fair in love and rentals...

MY REVIEW

Sophia's found a reasonably priced place to live with a sweet roommate whom she rarely sees. But when Jack's best friend comes around and turns out to be the landlord and owner of the building, she's wondering if perhaps she can't find another place because Max is exactly the kind of rich guy she can't stand - smug, rude, judgmental, and stuck up AND he steals her chocolate!

Max is fascinated with his best friend's new roommate. He loves riling her up and getting under her skin. And he's finding he wants a lot more than that with her even though she irritates him and he's realizing he misjudged her from their first meeting. What will they do when they realize all their antagonism is masking something a lot more than contempt? Will they give into their simmering attraction?

This is such a cute enemies to lovers rom com. It was obvious where it was going, but getting there is all kinds of fun, sexy and snarky. I love how much they snipe and jab at each other all while trying not to admit just how much they were falling for the other, how much they had misjudged each other. I'm not sure if there's more to come from this world, but I'd love it if Jack were to get his own story after having seen what a sweetheart he is.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
