Review / Release Blitz: The Coldest Winter by Brittainy C. Cherry

The Coldest Winter by Brittainy Cherry is now live!

I didn't know he was forbidden until after our one night stand…

I met Milo Corti during his self-destructive era, and he met me at the beginning of mine. That night when we crossed paths at a college party, we only had one goal: to feel good during our hell storms.

After we parted ways, I’d planned never to see him again. That was until I showed up for my first day as a student-teacher and found him sitting right there before me. Now I was forced to cross paths with the person meant to be nothing more than a fading memory.

The more time we spent together, the more drawn I felt toward him. When his world shifted for the worst, I couldn’t help but to lean in closer.

I’d always done the right thing. For the first time ever, I wanted to do something very wrong. I wanted to fall in love with the one person who was off-limits.

The problem with falling for something forbidden? Once you began to descend, you were destined to crash and burn.

MY REVIEW

Starlet's ever the rule follower good girl. Then the one night she breaks loose, it comes back to bite her in the worst way - now she's staring at her one night stand. This isn't the party they met at, though, no, now she's the assistant teacher in Milo's last year of high school...

I was honestly not expecting how much this story would wreck me. I should have expected it though, considering that Brittainy about killed me with all the tears I've shed while reading some of her earlier writing (The Gravity of Us, The Air He Breathes, etc.) Milo and Starlet are soulmates, damaged, grieving soulmates, who are perfect for each other. Once they figure out how to be with each other, how to be OK individually first, yep, I was just so in love with them. There's the forbidden aspect of course, but it's not the best part of this story. The pain, the shared grief, and the healing, all end up being quite beautiful. There's also a wonderful secondary cast in Milo's friend and Starlet's dad, I honestly didn't want to stop reading when I saw I was on the last page, because I had fallen so in love with this whole world.

Meet Brittainy
Amazon #1 Bestselling author, Brittainy Cherry, has been in love with words since the day she took her first breath. She graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Creative Writing. She loves to take part in writing screenplays, acting, and dancing—poorly of course. Coffee, chai tea, and wine are three things that she thinks every person should partake in! Brittainy lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When she's not running a million errands and crafting stories, she's probably playing with her adorable pets.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
