Review / Release Blitz: Off-Ice Collision (Wyncote Wolves #8) by Cali Melle

One moment in time, one freak accident, and my entire hockey career was over.

Off-Ice Collision, an all-new grumpy-sunshine hockey romance from USA Today bestselling author Cali Melle is available now!

Vaughn
One moment in time, one freak accident, and my entire hockey career was over.
Two years have passed since my injury and I am still mentally struggling with this loss.
Mad at the world and everyone in it, I sought solace at my parents' lake house for the summer.
It was supposed to be somewhere for me to be alone and heal.
But when London Hayes walks back into my life, the universe has different plans.
And I need to find a way to derail them because I refuse to drag her down with me.

London
It had been over two years since I'd last seen Vaughn Carter.
And he feels like a stranger.
Cold and distant, abrasive and angry.
He’s a shell of a person compared to the version I used to know, but I know he’s still in there.
Somewhere deep inside is the boy I used to love, but he needs help finding himself again.
And I won’t be the one to give up on him, even if it costs me my own heart in the end.

MY REVIEW

Vaughn is a broken man, in spirit and in body. He's been shutting himself off for so long since his accident that his parents have to get him out of the house, so send him to the lakehouse for the summer. The idea is to work at their family store there, and start socializing again, being among others again. He didn't expect his childhood friend, London, to be there. He didn't expect her to want to heal him, to be the one he finally starts to open up to. But all his growth could be for naught if once glimpse of his past sends him back down into that darkness again, so far that London might not be able to reach him.

Vaughn and London's story is beautiful, full of emotions that span the spectrum from happiness and joy and love far down to depression and dark thoughts and pain. The way Vaughn finally heals is sad for sure at times, but the journey is worth any pain because London is there with her huge, compassionate heart reaching out for Vaughn. I think this is the perfect way to end this excellent hockey series.

Blog Tour & Review: The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée by Annika Martin

The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée by Annika Martin Release Date: April 28th The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée, a sexy romantic comedy by New York Times bestselling author Annika Martin. I’m no Prince Charming, and the last thing I want is a Cinderella. My instructions were simple: scour the city for a fake fiancée who’s not my type at all. Have her on my jet Monday morning, dressed appropriately for a yacht vacation. I need a woman believable enough to convince a certain client that I’ve changed my playboy ways…yet nothing like the supermodels and socialites I usually have on my arm. Somebody too annoying to tempt me—no emotional entanglements, thank you very much. This is business only. If she’s unfazed by my looks and wealth, all the better. Should be easy. Right? Apparently not, because my people go and hire Tabitha. My hairdresser. What were they thinking? Yes, I said annoying, but I didn’t mean her, the most frustrating woman in the world. Tabitha is sunshiny. She has a pet ha...
