Eden's on her honeymoon alone, armed with a guidebook and a sunshiney determination to enjoy this vacation and to never ever take back her jerk ex. She didn't quite take into consideration how much all the other couples on the island would drive her nuts with their lovey dovey auras, though. So when a grumpy workaholic, Philip, finagles his way into sharing a table with her, she forms a bond with the man equally dismayed by all the love in the air. But no matter how they connect, physically and emotionally, their time together absolutely has an expiration, and they have to be OK with that.
Philip cannot stop thinking about this ray of sunshine who's invaded his solo honeymoon. He reluctantly gives into her pull and joins her on her jaunts across Barbados, riling her up and falling for her warmth and her beauty. But no matter how much he can't stop thinking about her, inevitably, they have to go back to their very different lives, apart.
This is the perfect summer read! It's sweet, a little spicy, and lighthearted. Eden is absolutely adorable, a teacher who is dead set on following her guidebook, when a gorgeous grump makes her vacation a million times better than it would have otherwise been. Now I'm thinking of going on my own second honeymoon in Barbados, with my own Philip.
