Brinley's been getting pressure from her people to start moving on with her life when a gorgeous stranger finds his way into rooming with her. Van is making her feel something other than the grief that's been a part of her life since Sawyer passed. Close proximity, attraction and the chemistry that doesn't happen often are having their way with this beautiful couple. Van's not in town forever, though, and Brin doesn't want to give her bruised heart to someone who will just take it with him when he leaves her, so is this just destined to be a fling?
Van knows he's not good enough for Brin, but he cannot resist her pull. There's something so compelling about her, and their chemistry is like nothing he's ever experienced before. He's not sure he really can walk away from her when his leave from the Coast Guard is up.
Brin and Van's story will tug at your heart so be prepared with some tissues. I felt like giving her a big hug but at the same time I was applauding her strength. Thank God Van came along and answered that ad of hers. Their connection is instant, their chemistry is sizzling, but when it all come crashing down I was hurting for both of them. No one does small town romances quite like this writing duo, and this new series just keeps getting better. I can't wait for Lance's story next!
