Blurb

Am I fake dating my best friend? Hear me out...
So I'm throwing myself a breakup party, a glittery fete where I envision I'll lift a glass and celebrate being free and single again.
What I actually do: Drink too much champagne and blurt out to my best guy friend that I'd really like to get back on the horse.
But what I truly don't expect is Carter's answer - he volunteers as tribute.
With his sinful brown eyes and too-good-to-be-true body it'd be no hardship for me to say yes, though I certainly don't want him to feel obligated to, um, service me, just because my failed, loveless marriage was a s-e-x desert.
But since the charming and confident pro football star owes five public dates to his dating app sponsor, we make a deal to help each other out.
Pretty soon, our public how to date lessons turn into, ahem, very private ones. And I'm a star student, graduating quickly from flirty banter and lingering looks to toe-curling, sheet-grabbing, mind-blowing hours of physical education.
The problem? Turns out learning to date again feels a lot like the real thing. Can our friendship withstand all these late-night bedroom sessions?
Especially since I'm suddenly longing for my best friend and there's nothing fake about my feelings…

MY REVIEW

Who better to ask to go on fake dates with Carter than his best friend, Rachel? They've been best friends since high school, have a solid base of friendship based communication, and neither is looking for a relationship, so for her to go on these outings with him so he can fulfill this sponsor obligation, would mean the world to him. But what's a pro wide receiver to do when a sighting of his best friend suddenly has him thinking of her in decidedly more than friendly way? Is it possible these dates could mean their friendship evolves into MORE?

Rachel's moved to San Francisco for a fresh start after a bad divorce to a cheating jerk of an ex. Her best friend is here, her other close girlfriends, and the start of a new expansion of her business. Things should be great. But in the area of love and relationships, she needs someone to treat her the way a swoony boyfriend would do. So when her best friend needs her to go on some dates to make good on his sponsorship, she can't say no. She had no idea that Carter would end up being such an attentive fake boyfriend, or that he'd make her view him in all kinds of deliciously more than friendly ways.

Football players are hot (hellllo Jimmy G!). When they're sweet, swoony, and deliciously dirty talking in the bedroom and a cinnamon roll outside of the bedroom, they're even hotter. Carter is probably one of my favorite of all Lauren's heroes - he's all these things and more, flawed but loving and loyal. The way Lauren presented his ADHD is so well done that it only made me love him even more. And then there's Rachel - she is adorable - sweet, quirky, and relatable. These friends to lovers with their snarky, witty banter, combined with their insanely hot chemistry add up to one of Lauren's best couples and best stories to date.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
