Aimi isn't the same girl Luca used to know back in the day. Now she's an adult, a fierce, sassy, independent and beautiful woman who is determined to find out why Luca ghosted her all those years ago. That reason he left is no longer valid, so now Luca has the choice to let her in and the possibility of happiness and love, or to continue to shut everyone out.
Luca has never let himself entertain the possibility of being with Aimi. Back when they were best friends, she was far too young, and he had certain responsibilities, so he left her without a word, walked out of her life without telling her why. But now she waltzes into his club and shows how much she's grown up. He's finding it impossible to resist her even though he's always told himself she's off-limits. Can he really let her in? Let himself finally be happy for once?
Aimi is amazing! She's by far my favorite part of Sour, with her fierce independence, her big heart, and her sassy mouth. She put Luca through the gauntlet, but he deserved that and more considering how he had broken her heart before. I love their story, even the back and forth and the angst, and am definitely waiting anxiously for more of this world.
