Blurb
She was the storm I never saw coming…

Rescuing a runaway guest from my cousin's wedding reception on my horse was never in my plans.

Nor was falling for her from the first glance.

It was just supposed to be one night between strangers.

She's a rich socialite from Manhattan who stopped believing in forever.

I'm the head of my family orchard in a rural small town who carefully plans and plants and is all about growing roots.

On paper, we don’t make sense.

But in real life, she’s my everything. And I’m hers.

The time has come for her to fight for her forever…and us.

Author's note: Beckett Manning has never met a challenge he can't face. Helena Danbury has never met a man who put her first. Welcome to the fourth book in our Brothers Three Orchard series, which is set near Crescent Cove. This book has a happily-ever-after and no cliffhanger.

MY REVIEW

When Beckett rides up on his steed, Storm, to rescue a beautiful damsel, Helena, it seems like something out of a fairytale. In reality, though, Helena is no wilting Cinderella, and Beckett may be Prince Charming, but of the rough around the edges type. Can a city girl who's never been allowed to break the rules and live for herself, be with a country boy who has the weight of the world on his shoulders?

Helena has found more than pleasure in Beckett's arms here at Brothers Three Orchard - she's found a sense of belonging, a place she can be herself without judgment. She doesn't want to go back to Manhattan to the cold disdain of her mother and absent father, but she can't stay here, can she? It's not like Beckett's offered or even asked where they might be heading. And when he makes it clear what he really thinks of her, it seems as if her time here is at its end.

I think I found my new favorite heroine of Taryn's. Helena is amazing - seems fragile on the outside, lonely and discarded by those who are supposed to love her, but has so much strength. She was just searching for the place, and people, she really belonged with, and she found with Beckett, his orchards, his family and friends. As a child I certainly read all the fairytales where the woman gets swept off her feet, and fantasized about my own guy coming to sweep me off my feet. He didn't look like Beckett or wear a cowboy hat, but I gotta say, after reading Forever By Morning, I may have to adjust my fairytale guy 🤠. And now I'm impatiently waiting for Kai and Bells' story next!

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
