Choosing true love suddenly seems like no sacrifice at all.

Starting an equine therapy program is Vivianna Orleans’ dream, and she has three months to work on it at Brockman Farms before family obligations will pull her back to France. Arriving in the charming town of Graciella, Vivianna discovers her small rental house is right next door to bachelor Jake Cooper.

Thirty-six-year-old estate attorney Jake Cooper has purchased his first home in Graciella. Too bad his girlfriend doesn’t share his love of small-town life and dumps him. But Jake’s used to moving on from relationships. He’s also used to charming people and being the life of the party, but the woman in the rental next door won’t give him the time of day or even her name.

Slowly, guardedly, the pair draw closer, bonding over their love of animals…including Jake’s crazy rescue mutt who adores Vivianna. When Vivianna gets hurt, Jake swoops in to care for her and their love affair begins. The people and town of Graciella swirl their magic and friendship around Vivianna, urging her to stay…despite the family duties demanding her return to her old life.

Will she give up her legacy and inheritance for a beautiful found family and true love?

MY REVIEW

Vivianna's only got a short time to start her dream. If she doesn't succeed, she has to go back home. But meeting her new neighbor throws a spanner in the works, because she's starting to feel things she wasn't expecting, starting to find herself in this small town.

Jake and Vivianna's story is heartwarming and heartfelt. They bond over their shared love of animals, becoming friends first then more. I love the way Vivianna especially grows and comes into her own, and the way Jake falls headlong first.

She has a BA degree in English Literature from John Carroll University and over twenty years of creative non-fiction and memoir writing experience. Although she’s the author of many essays about life, grief, motherhood and the connections we make through delicious food and shared meals, Sara loves creating imaginary worlds with tight-knit communities in her romance novels.

If she’s not reading or writing, you will most likely find her in the kitchen creating scrumptious meals, obsessing over her garden, or perhaps cooking up her next love story. She once met a person who didn’t read books and wasn’t that into food, and it nearly broke her heart.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
