Being the man of honor in my best friend Livvy’s wedding wouldn’t be such a big deal…

But I won’t turn her down. No matter how much it’ll tear my heart out to watch her walk down the aisle toward another man.

It should have been us—from friends to lovers and back again. But after college, I was so busy building my empire that I let her slip through my fingers. She was my first. And once she realizes he’s the wrong one for her…

I’ll be her last.

MY REVIEW

What do you do when the best friend you've loved nearly your entire life calls and asks you to be her man of honor when she marries someone else? If you're the sweetheart that is Ethan, you go, knowing your heart is going to break into a million pieces, but also knowing you can't not be there for her.

It's almost a guarantee when deciding to read anything by this author, that you have to be prepared for a lot of angst. Well, don't be surprised because Ethan and Livvy's story is all angst with heavy dashes of heart. My heart was breaking from their very first interaction, as they became fast best friends, as they evolved into more, and as they parted, all knowing how in love with her that Ethan was, yet not thinking he was good enough for her (thanks to her obnoxious dad). Sometimes this author's heroes are, shall we say, on the douchey end of the hero spectrum, but Ethan? Oh no - he's 100% swoon worthy with a huge, vulnerable heart. As Livvy and Ethan bounced from friend to more, I was on the edge of my seat, impatient for them to finally get on the same page and fall headlong into the love that was obvious from Ethan's POV from the beginning. Thanks to this author, I've fallen back into love with friends to lovers now.

They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. It took me seven years to mend my broken heart, and I’m not about to hand it over again. That’s why I can’t fall for Beckett. Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It
