BLURB

We’re battling to be on top—in more ways than one.

Cristian Rivera and I have spent years locked in a contest to be the highest-ranked racing driver in the world. When he forced me off a track seconds from victory, it was the last straw: I confronted him in his hotel room, intending to teach him a lesson with my fists.

Instead, he kissed me, and now everything is tumbling out of control.

I thought I was straight. Now I’m questioning. And I can’t seem to stay away from him.

Hooking up with Cristian is a terrible idea for so many reasons.

Our rivalry fuels sales, and if what we’re doing gets out, we and our teams could lose millions in sponsorship money. We could even lose our jobs.

I’m the Ice Man, always calm and controlled, in line to the Swedish throne. Dating a fiery Spanish driver is the last thing the aristocracy would want me to do.

Most importantly, I can’t fall in love. Open-wheel racing puts our lives at risk every time those engines roar. I can’t afford to get attached to another driver. I couldn’t bear it if someone I love got hurt—or worse.

Despite all that, when Cristian crashes, the whole world sees me race to his side.

Will our feelings for each other be stronger than the forces dragging us apart?

Off Track is a contemporary MM sports romance about race-car drivers. It features Cristian Rivera, Spanish racing royalty, and Jasper Nord, literal Swedish royalty. These guys secretly rendezvous in Swiss ski resorts, Singaporean gardens, and yachts off Monaco. Off Track is the first book in the Faster series of stand-alones, which also features books from Victoria Denault and Regina Kyle.

MY REVIEW

When Jasper's racing rival crashes, it causes such a reaction in Jasper, that the two rivals' real story comes out. First, we have to go back to when they started. A confrontation for something that happened on the track, Cristian's reaction/apology, and now we're here - with Jasper so worried about Cristian, he does the one thing he shouldn't, something that has the potential to expose their real relationship.

Cristian knows he annoys the hell out of his opposite in every way, Jasper, with his go with the flow, nonchalant arrogance. So when he reacts in a way guaranteed to get a reaction out of Jasper, it adds a whole new dimension to their rivalry. A very hot, spicy dimension, that has the potential to derail both their careers. Will they choose love? Or their careers? Do they even have to choose?

This is the way you do enemies to lovers! These two are so hot together, at the same time it's so obvious that more than just rivalry is sparking between them. Their opposite natures amp up everything - their chemistry, their feelings, their rivalry, and in the end, falling in love was inevitable. I can't wait to read the next story in this series now.

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
