Aria and North's first meeting isn't exactly up to Hollywood's meet cute standards. She thinks he's a standard issue Hollywood playboy, and he thinks she's stuck up. Neither is exactly right about the other, but it will take one night, too many drinks, and some opening up before they realize how wrong they've been about each other. Now North is intent on proving to her that they can have much more than just that one night. He's got his work cut out for him, though, because she's got years' worth of scars thanks to past betrayals, and a supermodel mother who has heaped body criticism on her for years.
North's been hiding something from people for years. Now that he's the next big thing in Hollywood, that past looms much larger. It's why he's hiding here in the Scottish highlands, at an exclusive resort. He came for relaxation and peace, but what he gets is...Aria, the woman he can't get out of his mind even as she drives him nuts. He wants it all with her, but he's not sure how to get past her walls. If he can climb into her heart, he knows they can have something beautiful.
Aria and North make a great enemies to lovers couple. They have to work extremely hard to get on the same page, making the end really worth all the obstacles they conquered to get to happiness. Their chemistry is hot, their banter is snarky and fun, both characters are likable and relatable, especially Aria with all her body issues, and other beloved characters make cameos. Now I'm waiting anxiously for Theo's story next. I'm not sure how Samantha plans on redeeming him, but I can tell he's got a major backstory to be told.
