I’m snowed in.
With a famous hockey player.
My life has been a disaster. I’ve lost my job, my apartment, and my direction, so when my best friend suggests a week trip up to her house in Tahoe, I jump on the chance for a change in scenery.
Only, I didn’t anticipate Snowmageddon.
I didn’t anticipate being trapped on the side of the road and rescued by a famous hockey player—and certainly not by Lake Jordan, star center for the Sierra Hockey team, model, and entrepreneur.
I didn’t anticipate having to share his house.
Or that there would only be one bedroom.
And I didn’t anticipate…that he might want to keep me.

MY REVIEW
Nova's lost everything - her man, her home, her job. So her bestie has arranged for her to spend some time at her friend's brother's home in the mountains. Except, it's not actually his home, it belongs the grumpy ass guy who rescued her when her car slid off the road. Now she's in Lake's home until Snowmaggedon ends, and she can figure out what to do with her life. She'll do her best to stay out of his way, keep her dog Steve out of his way, because he has made it more than clear that she's just an unwelcome burden. She doesn't realize there's a lot going underneath Lake's grumpy exterior. And she's finding she wants to help him heal - if he'll let her in and realize she's not like all the other women in his life who have done him wrong.
Forced proximity always brings out the feelings. It certainly did in Nova, but honestly, I felt bad for her because Lake treats her horribly. He takes the grumpy to the extreme, and not in a fun way. Nova and Steve stand out in their story. She's just trying to find her way after losing everything, and Steve is horribly obnoxious but loving. I like this story but would have loved it if Lake hadn't been such a dick for 3/4 of the storyline.
