Review / Release Blitz: Something Like Lust (Chicago Grizzlies #2) by Piper Rayne

Something like Lust by Piper Rayne is now live!

Do it.
Don’t do it.

Never in my life did I think I’d wager in my head whether to sleep with Chicago Grizzlies wide receiver, Damon Siska.

He’s the perfect package—hot body, killer smile, and flirts like he earned a doctorate in it. But anyone who reads gossip blogs knows he is looking for one amazing night and nothing more.

I’m not the usual type of woman he beds. I’m a middle school teacher who cherishes her quiet nights in, drinking wine, and watching romantic comedies, dreaming I’m the heroine. I’m not embarrassed to admit—I want the fairy tale.

But Damon caught me at a weak moment. Fresh off a break-up and feeling lousy about myself, I gave into temptation and left the next morning like every other woman he’d slept with.

Except I walked away with more than just the memories when three weeks later the little white stick glowed with two pink lines.

MY REVIEW

Adeline's school isn't impressed with famous football star Damon appearing and asking to see her. But he's on a mission after he received a text from her letting him know he's going to be a dad. He may not be relationship material but he's going to do the right thing by his child. He and Adeline can be the best of co-parents without any kind of feelings getting in the way. Right?

Adeline figured Damon would find her somehow. She's not sure how, but she knew she had to tell him sometime soon. Well, now he knows. She'll just let him down easy - after all, there's no way this playboy will want to stick around, and she's not about to ask for anything from him. Except perhaps she underestimated him. Perhaps she underestimated how him being around all the time would do things to not just her body, but her heart, too. She may have completely misjudged him.

Adeline and Damon are awesome. I love how they slowly move from basically strangers to friends to more, getting to know each other and creeping into each other's hearts. Damon may have thought he wasn't cut out for love and commitment, but he definitely proved himself wrong with how much he became Adeline's rock, standing by her, and falling head over heels for her and their baby. These Chicago Grizzlies are turning out to be as amazing as my 49ers, now I'm really excited to find out which one falls in love next.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
