Review / Release Blitz: Pretty Rings & Broken Things (Black Tie Billionaires #2) by Kat Singleton

Pretty Rings and Broken Things by Kat Singleton is now live!

Pretty rings can’t always fix broken things.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop powerful men from trying. Which is why instead of getting the wedding I’d always dreamed of, I was forced to marry the heir to our rival company and join a family that we’ve hated for generations.

An arranged marriage to make our problem disappear.

Then again, I’m the one that snuck around behind my father’s back and ended up at the center of a scandal that could ruin my family’s reputation.

Now the only person who can protect me is the cold and calculated billionaire, Archer Moore.

The marriage was only supposed to be for show, but Archer can be very convincing. He’s demanded we move in together. That we kiss. That we make it look—and feel—real. He’s a man who is obsessed with getting what he wants—and I’m starting to think what he wants is me.

But the closer we get, and the less we pretend, the more I question if the grudges between our families are too much to overcome for a marriage that was built on pretty rings and broken things.

MY REVIEW

Winnie made a huge mistake, thinking with her hopelessly romantic heart. And now it's come back to haunt her in the form of an arranged marriage her father is pushing her into to resolve her stupid mistake. But she still has that romantic heart, which means she absolutely doesn't want to be married to Archer Moore. The son of her father's rival. Possessive. Billionaire. Obsessive. And dammit, swoony af when he focuses on persuading her to let him in!

Archer may be going into this marriage because his father asked, but Winnie is blindsiding him. Suddenly he's obsessed with her and so possessive that he's going out of his mind. He's going to let her know this may be arranged, but she's his, HIS. Even when he finds out what's really behind their fathers' arrangement. Nothing is going to stand in the way of their feelings, and he'll scorch the earth before he lets anyone hurt Winnie.

Possessive, obsessive, "my wife" Archer Moore is the hottest alpha billionaire I think Kat has written yet. He and Winnie may have started off as nothing but an arranged marriage, but it soon turned very, very real and I was grinning all the way through. Winnie is more than Archer's equal - she may have a romantic heart, but she's no shy wallflower, she put him in his place more than once, and took him to his knees, in all the ways! I love these two and can't wait for Emma's story next now.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
