MY REVIEW

Paige lost her Aunt Lucia, and her husband didn't even go with her to Italy for the funeral. Not only that, but when she came home from the funeral, not only was her husband not there to comfort her, he was with another woman, with as in WITH. Now Paige is adrift, wondering what to do with her life. Her newly forged friendship with her teenage ex (with whom she reconnected at her aunt's funeral), though, is one of the few bright spots on her horizon. A bright spot that could become more when she decides to head to Italy and falls back into Gio and his family. But the reason Gio broke her heart back then still exists, and it could be an even bigger obstacle than Paige's own baggage.


Gio's engagement has been a lie. A lie that's now ended with her betrayal with his sister. But because he has a good heart, he can't possibly out Giada and his sister to the public, so now he's in a non-existent engagement while his heart is becoming entwined again with the only girl he's ever loved. Seeing Paige again at Lucia's funeral reignited all the feelings he used to have and he wants the future they used to dream of when they were teenagers. First he'll have to convince his ex and his sister to release him from this farce, and protect Paige from the person intent on stalking and harassing her.


Paige and Gio are so worthy of their second chance. Their story is sexy and heartfelt, with a dose of suspense. Paige's friendships with her squad are a standout, as are Gio's complicated relationships with his siblings. I don't have a hot Italian billionaire like Paige does, but after this, I definitely want one now!

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien
