MY REVIEW

Caleb and Briar's marriage is in trouble, deep trouble. They've been trying for so long to have another baby that it's strained even their intimacy. But the cracks now showing have been a long time in coming for this couple who still love each other. Then a ghost from Caleb's past shows up and suddenly their marriage is at a crossroads: it will either sever completely or the cracks will heal with this new addition.

Briar has always been the good girl, the one who did as her family and her church dictated. She's even trying to have another baby because she thinks that's what she should do. She and Caleb haven't been happy for so long that she's become numb, and the negative pregnancy tests keep coming, driving the wedge deeper between them. But then she and Caleb take in a younger man in need of a place to live after his place burns down. Dean is the spark that finally lights her on fire, and she wants to burn with him even though she knows it's dirty and so wrong that she doesn't think she can ever come back from it. But what if Caleb wants Dean too? And wants, no needs, to watch her and Dean together?

Dean never thought he'd see Caleb again after Caleb forced his best friend Isaac (Caleb's brother) to leave him years ago. Now he's living in Caleb and his wife's place, and he's having a hard time staying mad at Caleb. And he's falling for Caleb's wife...all while trying not to lust after Caleb too. But when they invite him into their marriage, to help fix it, can he keep his heart out of it and just do what he normally does? Or is it already too late, because his heart is definitely already falling for both of them.

Whew, when the heat ignited between these 3, I was practically fainting, it was so freaking hot and delicious! But in amongst all the heat is a lot of pain and angst, and I admit to being a little worried how they were possibly going to find their way to happiness. Caleb had so much trouble expressing himself, had denied a part of himself for so long, that he was frozen. Then Dean came back into his life and not only forced him to feel, he brought Briar back to life, too. Dean was the center, the glue that healed all 3 of them and by the time they finally came together, I was so happy that I might have shed a few tears. This is possibly one of the best MMF stories I've ever read. It's got everything - 3 beautifully flawed, lovable leads, an adorable little girl, some of the spiciest scenes, ever, and a beautiful ending. I am now a fan forever of Sara's, and plan on reading not just the first in this series, but everything she writes in the future.
