Review / Release Blitz: Acquisition (Kings of the Boardroom #2) by Nana Malone

Acquisition by Nana Malone is now live!

A hostile takeover. An arranged marriage. A dangerous game.
It was supposed to be cold-blooded corporate warfare, but somehow my heart got involved.

My wife penetrated my shields until I could see nothing but her...and her safety.
Because the game has only just begun.

I'm going to claim her...along with my birthright.
The stakes have never been higher.
Manhattan is going to be mine.

ACQUISITION is the stunning second book in the sensual Kings of the Boardroom trilogy. Read for a swoon-worthy tale of love, betrayal and redemption.

MY REVIEW

Atticus thought he was doing the right thing by pushing Gwen away, but months of being apart from her has him realizing it was the stupidest move he could have made. Now he has to figure out a way to grovel and convince her that she's his. He also has to actually LISTEN to her when she tells him he can't unilaterally make decisions for her, for them, and not involve her in the outcome of her own life.

Gwen didn't exactly want her soon to be arranged marriage, but Atticus' dominant nature pulled her in and she fell for him. Then he broke her and now she's finally starting to recover, when who comes along and tries to once again control her life, but the man who dumped her. She shouldn't give him the time of day but her feelings are still there, weakening her resistance to his pleas for a second chance. If Atticus wants a second chance with her, he needs to prove that he's her true partner, not just someone who wants to control her and their life together.

WTF is with these cliffhanger endings, Nana?!? This one is even worse than the one in Takeover, and I'm hyperventilating thinking of how Nana is going to get Gwen and Atticus out of this mess. Rant over now, but I still stand by my upset. That being said, I love this series so far. Gwen is amazing - smart, strong, and knows her own worth. Oh but Atticus...such an alphahole, so pigheaded that I wanted to smack him a good one for the way he treated Gwen, refusing to treat her as his equal. Sigh...but their chemistry is undeniable as are their feelings, so I have high hopes for their future happiness. Merger needs to be on my Kindle, now!

Meet Nana

Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves all things romance and adventure.

That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
