Return to the action-packed Redemption Harbor Security series in this enemies-to-lovers romance!

She trusted the wrong person…

And got good people killed. While Adalyn will live with that mistake forever, she finally got justice. Even if it cost more than she’d imagined. But the past has come back to haunt her—and it wants revenge. An old enemy is out to destroy everything she holds dear, starting with her sister. He’s targeting all her former haunts and connections in New Orleans, using the wildness of Mardi Gras week to commit his crimes.

He thought she betrayed him and never looked back…

Rowan, veteran Marine, has hated Adalyn for getting his team killed. Until he discovers that the former CIA agent risked everything to stop the real perpetrator. Now they’re racing against the clock to stop a faceless madman determined to kill them and as many people as possible before the week is over. If they can’t figure out who he is or what his endgame is, an entire city could go up in flames—with them in it.

Author note: this book is a stand-alone in the Redemption Harbor Security series with an HEA and no cliffhanger.

MY REVIEW

Adalyn made a lot of enemies during her time in the CIA. Now one of those enemies is after her, putting her sister in danger too. So she'll do what she has to in order to keep her sister safe, even if it means getting backup from the man who hates her.

Even when Rowan hated Adalyn, he loved her. Now is the time he and their team can come to her rescue, and prove to her he's over his anger at her and just wants to love her. She's fighting him though, wanting to keep him at a distance. But his real feelings mean he's going to fight FOR her even if she doesn't want him to.

Adalyn is the kind of heroine I love most - strong, fierce and independent, with a tender heart. Her partner could only be someone her equal in every way, which is what Rowan is. There isn't a lot of angst as he figures out his true feelings for her, then his own protective tendencies come out while they're after the person hunting Adalyn. Suspense, action, and a couple with delicious chemistry right from the first page - Fighting for Adalyn is a great romantic suspense story.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
