MY REVIEW
Caleb and Travis used to be best friends, but Travis always held more than friendly feelings that he hadn't acted on. Until he did, and inevitably a period of...uh enemies happened. Now it's years into their parents' marriage (yes, they are now stepbrothers) and they're about to become roommates and be forced to deal with their unresolved tension. It will either be the most ecstatic time of their lives, or the thing that completely severs their relationship.
I will be the first to admit that I absolutely despise the stepbrother/sibling trope, but it's not really an issue here so I was able appreciate and love the story as purely a romance. Yes, they acknowledge they're stepbrothers, but there's not really the forbidden sort of angst about it present, thankfully. Instead Travis and Caleb are focused on their emotional connection and their physical longing for each other, and acting on both. Caleb is coming to terms with his sexuality, Travis is coming to terms with finally having Caleb the way he's always wanted him. And their journey is one of the most delicious of the series yet. I love their snark and their witty jabs at each other (and at their friends) and the way they absolutely could not resist teasing each other. Their friends are there to give support, and in some cases (I'm looking at you, East) obnoxious skepticism, and it just reminded me how much I love all these Park Avenue Princes. I can't wait for East's story, Notorious Park Avenue Prince, next!
