I'm a professional hockey player and a single dad with two rambunctious five-year-olds. My boys have driven away every nanny that's stepped foot in our house--except one--the one I don't want to keep, but they do. Tatted and pierced Gardenia Bliss is everything I dislike in a nanny and woman. She's a mouthy whirlwind, an obsessive recycler, a buyer of organic only food, and a lover of loud music. Then my meddling, matchmaking mom shows up for the holidays and enlists Gardenia to help her find the perfect woman for me. The two of them are forces of nature I'm powerless to combat. MY REVIEW
Imagine Jakob and Gardenia's surprise when she turns up at his home as his new nanny. Normally not a big deal, but it is when they've met already, under very different circumstances. But, no matter how much their chemistry is still present, they cannot give into it now that she's nannying his 2 adorable but precocious sons. They'll stay professional...until Mama Bang comes into town and does her best to meddle her way into Jakob's love life this time.
Mama Bang is at it again and I was here for it all! This time around, Jakob is her target, and he doesn't make it easy for her. Nor does Gardenia - both have been hurt by former relationships, especially Jakob, so the angst is a bit high. But this grumpy/sunshine pair was never going to be able to resist not only Mama's matchmaking, but each other. Gardenia was too good for and to the boys, and Jakob was never going to be able to not have his heart melted by it. And poor Gardenia...she's so amazing, but Jakob put her through it. Thank God they came to their senses, got on the same page, and let Mama have her way with their resistance. I can't wait for the next son to try to resist when his mom comes around to meddle.
