Blurb
Professional Day Dreamer Sophie E. Clark has gotten the last laugh.

Those who told her she would never make money daydreaming can bite her curvaceous derriere, because she has just landed the day-dreamiest of daydream gigs with Naked Runway. Of course, if you want to get technical about it, for tax purposes and what not, she’s listed as a columnist. But her assignment is to—drum roll please—search out Manhattan men who could match up against the winners of this year’s Swooniest of Book Boyfriends contest.

Former ex-Navy SEAL Stone Blackthorn is on the injured list at the security firm he co-owns with his brothers. When a friend calls in a favor, he reluctantly agrees to become an undercover bodyguard. As such, he will play the part of a cinnamon roll boyfriend for a fluff-reporter. A no-action assignment if ever there is one.

Little does he know, his client—the president of a romance book club—will piss off members of motorcycle gangs and mafia sorts in her quest to find real men who are the living, breathing equivalent of the fictional Book Boyfriends her club drools over at weekly meetings.

Coming out of this assignment unscathed isn’t looking favorable for either of them.

MY REVIEW

Sofie's dream job comes with some conditions, conditions that will require her to go along with a protector in guise of a cinnamon roll boyfriend. How can she possibly makeover a grumpy alpha like Stone into a sweet cinnamon roll?! And how can she keep her heart intact when their forced proximity ignites the sizzling chemistry she'd like to ignore?

There is no way Stone, in all his grumpy alpha-ness wants to take on this job he's been tasked with - pretending to be this crazy woman's fluffy boyfriend, all while protecting her. From what? Who could possibly want to harm a woman looking to find the perfect book boyfriend? As he soon finds, his protective tendencies are ramped up x 1000 because he's developing feelings for Sofie. But he can't give her the perfect happily ever after she wants, because he has a huge secret, one that she'd never understand. Or would she? If he takes a leap of faith, and with the meddling help of the women in his life, he just may find that he can have it all with Sofie.

Sofie and Stone's story is such a fun, light-hearted rom-com, and I couldn't have rooted for them more. From their very first words that were already full of so much sexual tension, all the way to Stone's big grand gesture - I was smiling and swooning as this delicious couple finally got on the same page and made their way to one of Sofie's happily ever afters.

Meet Lisa Wells
Lisa Wells writes romantic comedy with enough steam to fog your eyeglasses, your brain, and sometimes your Kindle screen. On the other hands, her eighty-year-old mother-in-law has read Lisa’s steamiest book and lived to offer her commentary. Which went something like this: You used words I’ve never heard of…

She lives in Missouri with her husband and slightly-chunky rescue dog. Lisa loves dark chocolate, red wine, and those rare mornings when her skinny jeans fit. Which isn’t often, considering the first two entries on her love-it list.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
