When Sadie needs a loan to help save her family farm, really the solution could only come from her best friend, ride or die partner in crime, Jude. They've had this strong bond since they were little kids, one that's only gotten stronger the older they get. They've never crossed the delicate line between friendship and more, but a marriage of convenience is going to test that in ways they're not even aware of yet.
Jude's the closed off, stoic one of his family, with the weight of the world, of his family's expectations (and his own) lying heavily on him. The only one who's ever seen the amazing person he is behind that exterior is his best friend, Sadie. So there's no question that he's the one to help her when she needs him most. But proposing a marriage of convenience is something that though it seems like the answer on paper, he didn't really think it through. Now all the close proximity is messing with both his and Sadie's feelings for each other. They're feelings they've never explored, but now have to face. The only question now is: give into the feelings and allow themselves to be in love and turn fake into real, or push her away for her own sake and leave them both miserable?
