When Addie's rescued from a rogue dress by her one time fwb, Duncan, it's the start of a second chance journey the two will take. It will be filled with some bumps, some highs and lows, and in the end - love. But first, getting to that love. Has enough changed since they last saw each other? Has Addie gotten over her fear and insecurities that caused their breakup before? Can Duncan be more patient this time around? Or are they doomed to repeat their same pattern?
Seeing Addie again has Duncan adamant that he wants her back. He never really wanted to end things before, but she wasn't on the same page as he was regarding their feelings and how serious or not their relationship was. Now though, he's going to convince her that they're more than serious, they're meant to be.
Duncan is so freaking swoony! Patient, sweet, and head over heels with a woman who had always kept a part of herself back from him. That's not to say that Addie wasn't amazing too, though, because she had grown a lot since they parted ways. Both had done work on their mental health, and were open with each other. Their banter was funny and witty, and did not much to mask the longing, the love, and the joy they had at being in each other's orbits again. Their second chance love story is fun, sweet, and delicious, signature Pippa!
