Review: Taming The Boss (Crescent Cove: The Moguls #1) by Taryn Quinn

Taming The Boss, by Taryn Quinn, the first book in the new Crescent Cove: The Moguls spinoff trilogy, is LIVE NOW!

Falling for my grumpy new boss was unexpected. Falling into his…shower and not taking precautions? Even more so.

Stumbling over the ad searching for a nanny changed my life. And the address led right to the fancy big house on a hill overlooking Crescent Lake…

The one that had just come off the market in a high-stakes bidding war.

Owned by a secretive, hot newcomer in town everyone was speculating about. He had complicated, secret connections in the Cove about to rock one of the town’s founding families.

Not to mention, an adorable little boy he just discovered—with no mother in sight.

Apparently, I was going to be his new nanny. Or maybe his son’s new mommy?

And potentially, once that pregnancy stick reveals two lines, the wife of the Cove’s newest billionaire mogul in the making…

Author’s Note: TAMING THE BOSS can be read as a standalone single father and nanny forced proximity romance novel although it is book one in our The Moguls spinoff trilogy set in our small town Crescent Cove. It has a happily-ever-after ending and no cliffhanger.

MY REVIEW

Maddie fell in love with her new charge, Owen, the minute she saw him, and now she's falling for Owen's dad, Jude. Though they haven't exactly defined what their situation is, she knows she can't think of her life without Jude and Owen now.

The last thing Jude expected when he rolled into this small town looking for the brothers he never knew he had, was to somehow end up with a nanny that he couldn't resist. Now they're in an undefined situation, and he's realizing his life has gotten innumerably better. Is it possible that though he came here looking for his brothers, that he'd end up with even more - a son he loves, and a woman he never saw coming?

This new spinoff trilogy does its parent series so good. Maddie is adorable and sassy, someone with a big, loving heart just looking for someone(s) to give all that love to. Owen and Jude are the perfect recipients for her love - Owen needs a mom, and Jude needs a strong partner who loves him as much as she loves his son. I wanted to smack Jude a time or two in the beginning, before he grew into the man Owen and Maddie deserved, but by the time the sweet epilogue rolled around, I had fallen in love with him and knew that Maddie and Owen had the the amazing partner and dad they needed. Some of Crescent Cove's most beloved residents have cameos, and it was so good to get more of the og's. If Jude and Maddie's love story is any indication, I know this spinoff is going to be just as sexy, fun, and baby-tastic as the original Crescent Cove stories.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
