BLURB
I have plenty of reasons to dislike the hard-edged, ridiculously good-looking, arrogant Ethan Dalton, who did my father wrong, and I’d do anything for the chance to tell the billionaire that and more to his face. So when I’m selected to attend Moore's Department Stores annual conference in Hawaii, with an invitation to submit my designs for their new fall line, the last person I expect to come toe-to-toe with is Ethan himself. I had no idea he was on the board, and despite the fact that he won’t know who I am, I’m in avoidance mode, and failing. I end up sitting several feet away from him, spellbound by how ridiculously hot he is, for an arrogant jerk, when he feels my stare, and I end up locked in his. I’m officially busted, the amusement in his eyes, is somehow charming, rather than infuriating, but when I have the chance to meet him, I run for the hills.

But not for long.

The next thing I know, he’s standing in front of me, in another chance encounter that becomes oh so intimate, and when he thinks my name is well, not my name, I don't correct him. Because once he knows who I am, we’re at war. And what happens that night is anything but war. It’s the most intense, incredible night of my life, but come morning, I do the only thing I can do. I sneak out before he figures out who I am. Besides, I’m saving myself an awkward goodbye.

Only running from the gorgeous, intense billionaire never seems to work, and I fail miserably again.

It’s not long before our paths and my future collide, and my little bedtime lie is not so little anymore and threatens all that I love. And the only way to save myself, is to get down on my hands and knees and beg a man my father once called the devil himself.

Book one in the Dalton Family Trilogy

MY REVIEW

When Sofia runs into a gorgeous man, it's too bad he mistakes her for someone else. No matter, they can have a ons with no repercussions. Except perhaps not, because when she goes to present her designs, guess who's on the committee...yep, her gorgeous ons. Too bad she knows who he is (the man who did her father wrong), but he doesn't know who she is...until now that is. Now they're in really close proximity and lines are quickly blurring. She's finding he's not the cold blooded man she had thought. Things have a chance of becoming something special, if Sofia can let herself trust him.

Ethan despises liars, and Sofia lied to him in their first meeting. So why should he trust her now? But her lies don't seem to matter to his attraction. He wants her like he's never wanted anyone else. This playboy always gets what he wants, but his past is coming back to haunt him and he may yet lose Sofia because of it.

Ethan is by far the best part of this story. Though he's supposed to be a ruthless playboy, he's actually sweet and so kind that it's a wonder he ever got the reputation he has. He and Sofia's chemistry is absolute fire and all was going along well between these two "enemies," until the dreaded cliffhanger when Sofia did something that I despise - she ran. Now I'm going to have to wait to find out how they manage to get back on the same page.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
