Some people are just meant to be single all the way…right?

Emerson

Being a widow and a single mom wasn’t part of my plan. But here I am.

I suppose I should consider myself lucky Ben offered us a place to stay. Without him, who knows where we would’ve ended up. Now all I have to do is figure out how to ignore the way my entirely too sexy new roommate sometimes looks at me… and the way those looks make me feel…

Ben

I loved Emerson first. But that didn’t matter once she fell for my best friend.

So, I moved on. And I was happy. For a while, at least.

Now, I’m a busy single dad who just asked a woman who’ll never be mine to move in with me.

I’ve always been good at hiding my feelings for Emerson. But something tells me I’m about to get even better…

Single All the Way, book 2 in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series, is a steamy and spicy, friends to lovers, second chance, contemporary romance with all the trimmings, including a hero who falls first, forced proximity, and all the small-town hijinks you can handle. Download today, and welcome to Dragonfly Lake.

MY REVIEW

When Emerson's mother-in-law sells her home and leaves, it means Emerson and her children are homeless. Thank God for her late husband's friend Ben agreeing to take them in until they're able to find a home. She's determined to never rely on another person again for anything, and it bothers her she has to rely on Ben, even if it's only temporary. But though it may only be temporary, Ben wants to make their stay as comfortable as possible, and that means they're going to be in verrrry close proximity. And we all know what close proximity does to two people who already have feelings...

Emerson never knew it, but Ben was interested in her the first time he ever saw her. Too bad his friend (her late husband) asked her out first, and the rest is history. But now she's staying in his home for awhile and his feelings are rising to the surface. He wants to show Emerson and her children how amazing it could be if she stayed. If they admitted their feelings and allowed themselves to be a complete family unit. This Christmas can be amazing if she lets down her walls so he can sneak his way in.

Ben and Emerson had their work cut out for them. He had to find a way to get past her fears of being let down again. She had to figure out how to let him in and protect her and her children at the same time. Thankfully they were both able to give a little, and feel the Christmas spirit, because it would have been a damn shame if Ben allowed Emerson to run the way she wanted to. They ended up being such an adorable couple when they finally got together, and made a beautiful formed family just in time for Christmas. Can't think of a better way to get me into the spirit of the holidays.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It
