Blurb
Veterinarian and Dark Knights biker Baxter “Baz” Wicked, the most charming and mysterious of the family, has a career he loves, a brotherhood he trusts, and plans that don’t include settling down just yet. Come along for the unexpected, hilarious, and heart-wrenching ride as Baz discovers that life and love can be messy, and carefully crafted plans can’t hold a candle to ten tiny fingers and toes.

Between expanding his veterinary practice, commitments with his motorcycle club, and international travel plans, Baz Wicked has little time for anything else. When a beautiful, frantic pregnant woman barges into his office for help with her dog, he senses something is off, and he’s drawn to her in ways he shouldn’t be. But now he can’t get Emerson Lockhart out of his head.

Having a baby wasn’t in Emerson’s plans, but neither was tragically losing her parents more than a decade ago, when she was only a teenager. After all she’s been through, leaving the chaos of New York City and moving to the peaceful small town of Bayside while on the cusp of giving birth was a piece of cake. She’s used to handling things on her own, but when an unexpected emergency brings the charming vet—who makes her remember she’s more than a mother-to-be—back into her life, she’s grateful for his help but wary of his friendship.

Emerson knows how quickly the people she cares about can be stolen away, and she never wants to experience that devastation again. But the fiercely loyal, protective biker isn’t easily dissuaded. Passion ignites and affections run deep, but when their pasts collide and Baz’s demons are revealed, will it douse their flames, or can true love prevail?

MY REVIEW

Emerson and Baz (Baxter) have the sweetest of meet-cutes when she rushes into his veterinary clinic all worried about her dog, who has ingested a chocolate cookie. Baz knows he shouldn't find a patient so beautiful, a pregnant one no less, but he can't help it. But it's when he finds her later on the side of the road, in labor that their connection is really formed. Now his protective instincts have been activated, and Emerson, her new son Brennan, and her dog are folded into his and his family's welcoming arms. He's going to keep them there forever if she lets him.

Since losing her parents, Emerson has learned she can only lean on herself, do things for and by herself. So moving to this small town to start over and give her soon to come baby a safe place to be raised, seems like the perfect move. And it is, because she meets Baz Wicked and the man wants to be all hers, if she lets him. She can't seem to resist him and his loving family, and she's finally realizing she can trust and be part of a family again.

Baz Wicked is positively delicious, and he finally meets the woman to bring him to his knees and bring out all his protective instincts. I've long been wondering about him and who would be the lucky person to capture his heart, and Melissa penned the most perfect partner for him possible. Emerson is so amazing. She is so strong and has such a huge heart and was just waiting for someone to come along and see that in her. Their chemistry is HOT, but it's their emotional connection and their heart that I really love. If I thought the Wickeds were a great family before, after reading Baz and Emerson's love story, I think they're even more perfect.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It
