Blurb
Ian Jameson is tired of being told he needs to find a woman, especially when it seems to be an unspoken condition for taking over as CEO of Jameson Industries. When a chance reunion with his sister's sister-in-law offers an opportunity that would benefit them both, Ian and Mia agree to fake date for the holidays. A perfect hoax to show he can commit to a relationship while also helping out a friend.

Mia Mattia is working hard, trying to pay off mountains of debt, and doesn't want to ask for help. When Ian unexpectedly intervenes to save her from a creep, it sparks conversation, chemistry, and opportunity. The more they see how well they work together both in front of an audience and when they're alone, the harder it is to believe that this is just for the holidays instead of forever.

The only people fooled by their hoax...is each other.

MY REVIEW

Ian's family company's board is making his life a pain, demanding he be in a relationship in order to be worthy of being appointed to the CEO position. Then he runs into his sister Stella's sister-in-law (say that 3 times quickly lol) and a plan is arranged, one they both will gain the benefits from. No feelings allowed, aside from the friendly kind, and when they each get what they want, the arrangement is done. But what happens when feelings do develop? Can the spirit of the season help this arrangement into more?

Mia's struggling, but so independent. Her brother Nico already offered up his apartment, she's not about to tell him she needs help with her career and paying the bills. Then that same brother's brother-in-law, Ian, proposes a mutually beneficial arrangement. She gets help paying those bills, and he gets the approval of his board. But Ian's proving to be more than just an arrangement. Suddenly he's spoiling her, and being so sweet and swoony that she's forgetting their arrangement is fake and comes with an expiration date. Should she let Ian continue to spoil her, and more importantly, give him her heart when they were supposed to just stay friendly?

Mia and Ian are such a cute couple. I love it when the guy falls so hard like Ian did. He's just such a swoony sweetheart, head over heels for an independent woman he's not really supposed to be falling for. Though the incident that spurred them both to admit their feelings isn't exactly positive, at least they finally got their happy ever after. I do so love me a good holiday romance, and Ian and Mia are definitely one of the sweetest (and hottest) stories I've read lately to get myself in the spirit of the season.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
