Alex and his brothers are in Aspen to get his brother Landon away from his called-off wedding. Unfortunately for Alex, this town, and one beautiful woman in particular, seem fanatical about Christmas, while he despises the holiday. But he can get past his dislike of all things Christmas if it means he can have some one on one time with her while he's in town.
Haven has been working so hard to pay off her parents' debts that she hasn't been in a relationship or even been interested in a man in far too long, when a gorgeous guy with an accent to die for makes her sit up and take notice. But he's not in town for long and obviously lives on the other side of world from she. Perhaps a good ol holiday fling will do then.
This a seriously spicy prequel! Alex and Haven waste no time diving into their fling, but I have to admit I was wondering where on earth they were going. I wasn't aware this was a prequel, so was very disappointed when the end came and there was no happy ever after in sight. There is a lead in to Landon's story, though, but I'm still impatient to know where Haven and Alex will be in the future. That being said, for a prequel, (even if I wasn't aware it was one while reading), this is pretty great. I already love both of them, their chemistry is incendiary and I'm on the hook anxiously waiting until their full story is released.
