Review / Release Blitz: Good Pucking Luck (The Jilted Exes' Club #1) by Riley Hart

How do I get him to entrust his heart to someone who’s only ever been labeled a player on and off the ice?

Good Pucking Luck, an all-new low angst, hookup arrangement, M/M hockey romance and the first book in The Jilted Exes’ Club from bestselling author Riley Hart.

Hayes
Proposing to my first boyfriend at a hockey game wasn’t my smartest move. Not only does said boyfriend walk out on me, but the whole stupid thing goes viral, and it turns out the man I was dating has too many boyfriends to count. Internet fame has crowned me a member of the Jilted Exes’ Club, a name I’d do anything to escape.

One thing’s for sure: I’m not making the same mistake again. No more boyfriends, just easy hookups. And I’ll start with this gorgeous catch in Seattle. The only problem…he’s a god in bed, and I’m an inexperienced mess.

Rylan
After a night with Hayes, I play some of the best games of my career. It’s meant to be a one-and-done deal, but when I find out he also lives in LA and doesn’t want anything serious, I see an opportunity.

Hayes wants experience. I want my good-luck charm to help me win the cup.

The media would go wild over a pro hockey player dating a member of the Jilted Exes’ Club—a distraction neither of us needs. We want this to stay simple. Easy. No strings, no falling in love.

Except I’m pretty sure I’ve already fallen. After all Hayes has been through, how do I get him to entrust his heart to someone who’s only ever been labeled a player on and off the ice?

MY REVIEW

Hayes has decided, after having been turned into an insulting meme thanks to his douchey, cheating ex, that he's off relationships. He is, however, decidedly very into this gorgeous guy who's all about a fun ons. But when that never supposed to see again guy turns up again, he decides they can do a casual, no strings thing that will help him gain some experience, and help Rylan keep playing like the hockey god he was after their ons. All fun, no feelings, no problem. Right?

Rylan was into Hayes from the first time he laid eyes on him. But having some fun with him wasn't supposed to lead to him needing him. Not for his hockey game, and not for his heart. Now he's here - with Hayes coming to mean so much more than just no strings fun. How will he ever get Hayes to see himself the way he sees him? How amazing he is? And how will he convince Hayes that they're much more than just an arrangement?

Oh boys, boys, boys...these two are adorable! And so freaking hot together. From their very first words to each other, I knew they were meant for each other, even if they didn't know it yet. Rylan is like a big, muscular golden retriever who just wants his sweet but insecure Hayes to see himself as the awesome guy he's fallen in love with. I love the way they start as just a ons to a casual but smokin' hot arrangement, to finally a really happy, public couple in love.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
