Review / Release Blitz: She's a Wild One (The Wilds of Montana #5) by Kristen Proby

She's a Wild One by Kristen Proby is now live!

From New York Times Bestselling author Kristen Proby comes the final installment in her beloved Wilds of Montana series, featuring a small-town, marriage of convenience, second-chance love for the ages!

I have loved Millie Wild for more than eight years. Since that summer long ago when we were inseparable, stealing moments and keeping our love a secret.

And my girl has hated me for just as long.

When my father found out about my love for Millie, the daughter of the rival family next door, he threatened everything I love the most if I didn’t let her go. My father didn’t make idle threats.

So, I did the only thing I could to keep her safe: I made her hate me.

For eight long years, I’ve stayed away. But now, my monster of a father is dead and buried, and he couldn’t help but stick it to me one more time by leaving a caveat in the will that stated in order to inherit what’s rightfully mine and my sisters’, I have to marry and stay that way for one full year.

There’s only one woman in the world that I would consider saying “I do” to.

Millie is happy with her life. She owns the local coffee shop and enjoys being with her family. I torture myself by visiting her coffee shop under the guise of needing caffeine. I deserve her glares and snarky comments. Every moment of pain, whether self-inflicted or from her, is mine to own.

She deserves so much more than me and my baggage, standing on her doorstep, asking her to marry me. To help me.

But she says yes. Yes to one year of being mine, but I plan to show her that she’ll be mine until the stars fall from the sky.

With the name Lexington, I know that I’ve caused pain for not only Millie but the entire Wild family. Will I be able to convince my wild rose that I’m in love with her for all the right reasons? Or will the centuries-old family rivalry tear her away from me? For good, this time.

MY REVIEW

Millie and Holden were once in a secret relationship that really stood no chance of surviving. Not in the face of their families' bitter feud. No one knew exactly how the feud started, but it tainted everything, and left in its wake the shattered hearts of both the young lovers. Now in the present she can't stand being in the same proximity as him, as she doesn't know the truth of what really happened, why Holden broke her heart so horribly back in the day. But the time has come for Holden to claim the only woman he's ever loved, the one he's always loved. And it's his horrible father and their feud with her family that's giving him the opportunity.

Millie is determined to keep her still broken heart out of Holden's cruel hands. Why she's agreeing to this marriage of convenience, she's not sure, but she is sure there will be rules. And those rules will keep her heart safe. Right? Or wrong, because she underestimated not only Holden, but her own willpower. That willpower has met its match in Holden's sheer determination to reclaim her heart.

Forbidden, second chance, family feud?!? I was looking so forward to this one, and it did not disappoint. There's so many emotions in play, from pain and betrayal, to warmth and of course, so much love. There was an abundance of Holden's "my wife" moments, Millie's moments of pure sass & feistiness even as she reveled in his bossy dominance, and both their families being the amazing people they are. Her brothers are the kind of brothers everyone wishes for, and his sisters are the epitome of female strength. I love this series and Millie and Holden are my favorite couple by far.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
