Hudson Jolly is ironically the biggest Scrooge in Merryville, but I'm not intimidated. He warns me to stay away from him. However, I'm convinced he's playing reindeer games.
When I learn he's searching for a nanny, I offer to help.

Out of desperation, he hires me.
That's his first mistake.
The attraction is undeniable.

After too much spiked eggnog, lines are crossed. I jingle his bells, and Hudson becomes my ho ho ho, but—because there's always a but with broody men like him—only for the season.
Now, I'm wishing for a holiday miracle because the Grinch stole my heart, or did I steal his?

MY REVIEW

With a last name like Jolly, you'd think Hudson would be just that, and more of the mindset of his town of Merryville. But nope, he's of the Scroogey Grinchey type. Until he meets his brother's soon to be sister-in-law, Emma, and she becomes his adorable son's nanny. She's under his skin and he's trying his best to keep her at a distance.

This is such a cute, feel good holiday romance. You can never go wrong with a grumpy/sunshine couple, especially if it's set during Christmas and there's an adorable kid in the mix. Said adorable kid stole every scene he's in, and Emma and Hudson bring some spice to the Hallmark-ish setting.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
