Tropes:
🏒 enemies to lovers
🏒 single dad
🏒 reverse age gap
🏒 forced proximity
🏒 female GM x hockey captain

Some people might call it a grudge, but in reality, hating Alessandra Jones is more like an obsession.

AJ is the league’s first female general manager, and my boss. As the team captain, I have to play nice with her—in public, at least.

But in private, the gloves come off. And then one time, our clothes do too.

We vow it won’t happen again.

Not only can we not stand each other, but we’re in tense negotiations over my contract right now, and AJ is up for the league’s GM of the Year award. Getting involved wouldn’t just be a PR nightmare—it would be unethical.

It doesn’t help that we have a history, or that she and my daughter adore each other. When AJ is injured protecting my baby, there’s no choice but to move her into my place.

Taking care of someone I hate shouldn’t feel so right. Getting to know her better shouldn’t break down my defenses. She’s hurt me once before, and I’d be a fool to trust her again.

But the more time we spend together, the more I realize that maybe I’m not obsessed with hating her . . . 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘐’𝘮 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘣𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘦𝘳.

MY REVIEW

Ronan McCabe has been telling himself (and everyone else) that he hates his boss, the GM of his hockey team, but deep inside he keeps his real feelings for her. And when they finally consummate those feelings? Yeah, now he really can't say he hates her anymore. Now he knows he feels the opposite. But he can't be with her publicly, not without ruining both their careers. Sneaking around will just have to do. FOR NOW.

Now really isn't the time for Alessandra "AJ" to be falling in love with one of her players, especially McCabe, the man who says he hates her, the man whose contract she and the team are supposed to be renegotiating. But once they come together and she starts seeing the real him, there's no way she can stay away. Even if they have to be together in secret, FOR NOW, they'll be together. She never told him the real reason for what happened before, and telling the truth has the chance to ruin everything. She can't tell him, can she?

AJ & McCabe's love story is FIRE! She's a badass GM, the best GM according to her team and her peers. She dominates in a typically male industry. She leads with strength and compassion, but hadn't yet realized she could truly have both her career and love. That she found it with the man who couldn't stand her is just...perfect actually. Ronan really isn't the man he presented to her, to the world, and once she realized it, there was no way she could keep her heart from him. I absolutely love them, their enemies to lovers vibe, their reverse age gap, her kickass boss to his grumpy (not really) single dad with a heart of mush for the two females he loves most.

My book boyfriends go with me everywhere. I prefer them tall, dark, and handsome, but I don’t discriminate. They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. It took me seven years to mend my broken heart, and I’m not about to hand it over again. That’s why I can’t fall for Beckett. With his Clark Kent glasses and brooding stare, he’s a superhero in disguise. And his superpower? Melting panties with a single ...

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...

Susan Arden has revealed the covers for Seduced By The Senator! Releasing June 17, 2024 What's your dirty little secret? Mine involves a handsome stranger. It began in a darkened hallway. This man's touch had me coming undone. Not only is he tall, brilliant, gorgeous, and sexy as sin, he left me wanting more. He haunts my fantasies until I read about him: Senator Bennett Stone. Armed with his name, I dig for the truth. Stone is from Atlanta and is independently wealthy. A billionaire. He's rumored to be the next vice president. Tasting forbidden fruit, I can't settle for the cloying secrecy of my family. Or their plans for me as a pawn who'll live in a gilded cage where women are expected to look beautiful and keep silent. I have to act fast. Thanks to a connection, Stone is my new boss. He's my ticket to freedom -- if he doesn't fire me on the spot when I reintroduce myself... Xavia Stillman Kennedy. Bennett ~ When I arrive in Boston, my newest st...
