Lachlan aka Savage, is Libertine's enforcer. When he's out on a mission, a gorgeous innocent lands himself right in the way, in danger. Alessio's telling him not to do it, but he can't help himself, he's a protector. So now he's got this journalist in his business, and he's starting to to fall for Cooper, loathe though he is to admit it.
All Cooper was doing was trying to investigate the drug that killed his friend, when he found himself being rescued by a masked vigilante. Then he finds himself with Lachlan, someone he can't seem to get enough of. The more time they spend together, the more he sees Lachlan opening up, relaxing around him, and letting him in. But when he's done with his story and Lachlan no longer needs to protect him, will their time together be over? Or can a journalist and a protector make it work?
What an introduction to the Kings! The Princes were awesome, but the Kings have age and much more experience on them, and it looks good. Though two of my favorite Princes, Zac & East make cameos, this series is shaping up to be even better, with more suspense and action, and I think even more steam. Lachlan and Cooper are a pair of opposites, but their emotional connection is solid from their first meeting, even though Lachlan was in a mask and his little Scout had no idea who he really was. I loved this intro, and am really excited to see whose story is next now. I really hope it's Alessio - I just know he's got a whole lot going on and needs to find the right man to be vulnerable to, and fall in love with.
